The Total Art Glass Window System combines all the elements you need for a successful installation of art glass to your building. The Baut window frame, the patented Structural Stained Glass®, and the protective exterior glazing provided from the same source. One source responsibility allows your project to progress with fewer hassles and coordination problems. We handle the entire window! The Window Frame Baut window systems are constructed with custom designed anodized or painted aluminum extrusions. We have over 75 years in the art glass business, who better than us can design the frame for it? The features of Baut windows include: 1. Thermal barrier extrusions 2. Triple or double glazing available 3. Optional integral ventilators have white bronze hardware and stainless steel hinges 4. Easily installed by your competent contractor or glazier. 5. We furnish templates to coordinate the opening and simplify the installation. The Art Glass 1. Structural Stained Glass® is lead free, so it never sags. No future maintenance is ever required as with traditional stained glass. 2. The art glass is in larger, easier to handle sections. 3. There are many designs to choose from, and you select your color scheme from our vast inventory of glass. 4. Colored sketches are provided and must be approved by you before we manufacture. The only surprises are pleasant ones when you see the finished work. 5. Our staff of in- house artists oversees the manufacture of every window and inspects each one prior to shipping. 6. Is easily installed by your competent contractor or glazer. The Protective Glazing 1. Adds additional insulative value and protection 2. Double glazed insulated units create a triple glazed window 3. Single layer of ¼” polycarbonate with UV2 protective coating (to prevent yellowing) creates a double glazed window. 4. Frames are pre glazed, and pre drilled prior to shipping. If decorative doors are desired, coordination of designs is handled with ease, giving an overall theme to the art glass areas. Our artists routinely create total themes that relate in our various product lines. Design elements are carried through from Structural Stained Glass® windows to doors, from metal filigree to abrasively etched glass or even light fixtures.
